Dave Gillem

Dave is a first year CATS coach, taking the helm of the GU19s.

Entering his fifth year with the Forest Hills Northern girls soccer program, Coach Gillem has previously coached boys soccer for five years at Tri-Unity Christian high school and spent six years with the girls program at Grandville high school. Here at Northern, coach Gillem has helped guide the Huskies to three MHSAA Division 2 District Championships a Regional Championship and a State Runner Up finish in 2010. Coach Gillem has helped FHN to an overall record of 75 wins 24 losses and 10 ties over the past four seasons.

As a player, Coach Gillem was a four time all-conference selection at Tri-Unity Christian High School. It was at Tri-Unity that coach Gillem earned first team all-state honors in his senior season. Coach Gillem went on to play college soccer at Southeastern University, in Lakeland Florida where he was a two time NAIA All-American (3rd team and 2nd team selections). Following his college years, Coach Gillem played one year for the Grand Rapids Explosion PDL (Semi-pro) team. In December 2011, Coach Gillem traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil for the Maccabi Pan Am games as part of the 35 and over US National Maccabi Soccer Team.

Coach Gillem currently resides in the Grand Rapids area and works for the Grand Rapids Police Department.
